Bank House Raises a Cup for Macmillan

On Thursday 24 September 2026, the team at Bank House, Cherry Street, Birmingham B2 5AL hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning for everyone working in the building. From 11am to 3pm, the reception became a fundraising café. We sold coffee, tea, homemade bakes, doughnuts and sweet treats, and every penny went to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The first Coffee Morning, in 1990, was a small event with a simple idea: guests donated what their drink would have cost to Macmillan. It worked so well that the next year it went national. Today thousands of Coffee Mornings take place across the UK every year.

Every penny raised helps Macmillan support the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

A big thank you to everyone at Bank House who baked, served, bought a slice or bought a cup.
